SME Events Upcoming This Week

On Wednesday 18 February 2026, the Manchester Network: Startup Founders, Tech Entrepreneurs, Investors – Banyan Bar & Kitchen, Manchester Corn Exchange takes place from 6:00 pm in Manchester. This event brings together startup founders, technology entrepreneurs, investors and professionals for an evening of networking and connection in the heart of the city. It is an opportunity for SMEs and founders to meet potential collaborators, share ideas and expand their professional networks in a relaxed, business-focused environment.

Also on 18 February 2026, the Manchester Cleaning Show 2026 – Manchester Central opens its doors for two days of exhibitions, education sessions and industry networking. Running 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Wednesday and 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Thursday 19 February, the show is designed primarily for businesses in cleaning, hygiene and facilities management but also attracts SMEs looking for new suppliers, operational insight, innovations and partnership opportunities. In Derbyshire, a series of free expert-led workshops and business support events continue through the week, supported by the East Midlands Chamber and UK Shared Prosperity Fund. These include sessions such as “Utilising ChatGPT for Your Business” and AI tools workshops scheduled around 18 February 2026 at venues including Ibis Budget Derby, South Derbyshire. These practical sessions cover digital tools and productivity for small and local businesses and can be booked via the Derbyshire business support programme.

Throughout the region, networking lunches and meetups aimed at SMEs and business owners are also scheduled. For example, the Chesterfield Executive Networking Lunch takes place on 18 February 2026 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at Peak Edge Hotel (Chesterfield), offering local business leaders a chance to connect and build relationships over a meal. Later in the week, on 19 February 2026, there are additional free online and in-person business webinars and workshops through regional business support programmes, including international trade and export-focused sessions that can help SMEs with expansion planning and compliance.
